Zhejiang is China’s southern seaside region formerly Romanized as Chekiang. Zhejiang was previously the site of the Neolithic societies of the liangzhu and Hemudu. Zhejiang is separated into 11 prefecture-level sections and prefecture-level places, which consist of Hangzhou, Ningbo and Huzhou. Zhejiang's primary production areas are electromechanical industries, fabrics, construction, food, and chemicals.
