The Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) have the pricipal aim to ensure the highest standard mecial ethics, education and practice, with the interest of patients at heart and the effective administration of the Medical Act of 1971.

The following two Universities have been accredited by the MMC:

Shanghai Jiao Tong University, School of Medicine, has been one of the best and oldest universities in the country of a long while. Being one of the members of the elite C9 its is a public research institution located in Shanghai. It was established in 1896 and is considered as one of the most prestigious and selective institutions of tertiary education. Only the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery is recognised.

Fudan University, Shanghai Medical School, is located in Shanghai and This university also shares the high status of being one of the C9. It has been recognised for two degrees namey: Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, Doctor of Medicine. This institute of excellence is consistently ranked in the top 100 universities in the world has shares a spot as one of the most selective universities in the country.
