Study chinese in zhuhai university

Sun Yat- Sen University provides various Chinese language programs, including non-degree courses in Chinese language, undergraduate courses for international students, graduate courses and training courses for overseas Chinese teachers.

70% of teachers have overseas teaching experience and 90% of those hold graduate-level degrees. Sun Yat- Sen achieves a high pass rate of HSK and verification to the quality of higher education.

The courses last from one semester to three years. Students are placed into classes of different levels according to their proficiency in Chinese upon enrolment. Chinese courses consist of 20 hours a week.

Main Courses

These Chinese classes are divided into three levels namely: the elementary, intermediary, and advanced levels.

The elementary class concentrates on teaching student’s basic Chinese knowledge and training their language skills. The intermediary class focuses on further developing students' reading and writing skills while enhancing their basic Chinese knowledge. The advanced class places importance on training and improving the students' overall Chinese language skills such as listening, speaking, reading and writing as well as helping students to gain an insight into Chinese culture and society.

Non-degree Chinese Language Training Programs offer the following courses:

Speaking Skill, Listening, Reading, Writing, Audio & Video Comprehension, Intensive Reading, Chinese Newspaper Reading and Cantonese.
