Study Chinese in Fudan University

Altogether Fudan University offers 10 levels in Chinese learning, 4 levels consisting of the fundamentals in Chinese language, 4 levels consisting of intermediate Chinese lessons and 2 levels of advanced lessons. Each level takes about 9 weeks; and students can finish 2 levels each semester or in half a year. Students have to take an online placement test that determines which Chinese language course to choose. Fudan University offers professional teaching provided by their experienced and enthusiastic teaching staff.

Main courses:

The main courses include intensive reading, extensive reading, listening, speaking and writing. Optional Chinese courses are also provided that consist of including pronunciation, Shanghai dialect, Chinese movie, Chinese sayings and proverbs. Special Character Writing class is set up for overseas Chinese origin students. There are about 20 hours of class per week for each level.

Chinese Proficiency Test, HSK and Business Chinese Test are national examinations held by HANBAN, Confucius Institute Headquarters. Students can apply to take the HSK exam almost every 2- 3 months.
