The United Nations University International Institute for Software Technology (UNU-IIST) is now offering 5 PhD scholarships for international students to study in Macau, China. Programs start in September and January.
PhD programme in Information and Communication Technology for Sustainable Development with the following research topics:
· PhD Scholarship in Analytical Models for Learning Processes in FLOSS Communities
· PhD Scholarship in Formal Modelling and Analysis of Ecosystems
· PhD Scholarship in Policy-Driven Electronic Governance
· PhD Scholarships in Software Engineering in Healthcare
One scholarship is available for each topic except for Engineering in Healthcare which offers 2 scholarships.
The duration of the scholarship as well as study is 42 months of which 6 of these months would have to be spent in the host institution of University of Pisa, Italy. A living allowance of USD 1,000 is allocated to the student living in Macau with accomodation and medical insurance free of charge.
Candidates for the PhD positions must have been awarded a Master degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Software Engineering, Computer Science or other discipline with a large ICT component, with strong academic records.
