Recently, the Arkansas State University, USA (Arkansas State University) Minister of International Affairs Dr. Sivakumaran and his entourage visited Changchun. School leaders Su Xianxue and Director of International Exchange Pan Li, Director of academic affairs and visiting guests had friendly talks. President Su Xianxue firstly welcomed the delegation from Arkansas and then the two sides briefed each other on the development history and specialty setting and the characteristics of the school. They discussed the possible areas and projects for cooperation in the future, and reached a tentative conclusion on the cooperation’s intention, including short-term communication, exchange of courses, teacher exchange, learning and cooperational research. Su said, he hoped the cooperation and exchanges between the two schools can have a good beginning, on the basis of mutual benefit and long-term development, for the teachers and students of the two schools to create an open international vision and the integration of a variety of cultural campus activities. Dr. Sivakumaran, who praised the visit as the beginning of the exchange between the two sides, will encourage students to go to the Jilin Institute of Agricultural Science and technology for a period of time, giving them the opportunity to learn about China's economy and its culture and people.
