In order to enrich the extracurricular cultural life of foreign students in our university, to improve their self-cultivation and to help them understand the culture and the language of China, the international students visited the Liaoning provincial Museum on the afternoon of November 25th. During the course of the tour, the tour guide explained and told the students about the history of the museum. Liaoning Provincial Museum is one of China's most famous historical Art Museums; the museums exhibitions are mainly composed of relics unearthed in the northeastern part of China. From the ancient Chinese epitaphs exhibition, porcelain exhibitions, Jade exhibitions, folk embroidery exhibitions, European Glass Art Treasures exhibitions, thus leaving the students not only marveled by the dazzling art treasures, but also feeling the rich culture of the northeastern region, and appreciating the profound Chinese culture causing these foreign students to appreciate the cultural differences. At the same time, the visit also strengthened the student’s ability in Chinese listening and other aspects of the language. The International Students department will set up these visits one to two times a semester to help students understand Chinese history and culture, improve their Chinese language application, and better integrate them into the environment.
