Hebei Normal University was sponsored to host the "Eighth foreign teachers and students Chinese language skills  contest of Hebei Province" by the Office of Chinese Language Promotion and Education Department of Hebei Province in the provincial capital Shijiazhuang.

The tournament compared with previous sessions has increased the assessment of the knowledge of Chinese culture, dictation of Chinese characters, ancient poetry recitation and explanations, impromptu speech in Chinese and the Chinese talent into four units. Although students of our school  are into the medical profession, they were still well prepared for the Chinese talent contest. "Dragon Boat Melody" a song sung by our students, won the third prize in the competition. With the great contest in preparation and organization, our school also won the Outstanding Organization Award.

By participating in this contest, it imparted knowledge in our students and increased the understanding of Chinese culture among foreign students.
