Study in Chongqing
Chongqing , which was once known as Chungking, is a major city in Southwest China and one of the Five National Central Cities in China which is located at the area between the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the plain on the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, comprising just over 13 million inhabitants.
Chóngqìng City, prominent for its vivacious life, is one of the most significantly improving metropolises on earth. The city beams a unique energy that makes it a fascinating place and the locals are some of the most welcoming in all China.
It often rains at night in late spring and early summer, and thus the city is famous for its "night rain in the Ba Mountains". Chongqing has a monsoon-influenced humid subtropical climate and for most of the year the city experiences very humid conditions. Known as one of the "Three Furnaces" of the Yangtze River, along with Wuhan and Nanjing, its summers are long and among the hottest and most humid in China, in July and August in the urban area. Winters are short and somewhat mild, but damp and overcast.
While Chongqing is famous for being an economically important city, when its industrial surface is stripped away, a naturally beautiful city with plenty of hidden wonders will be revealed out.
Some of the attractions include HongYaDong - a recreation of old Chongqing that is built alongside a mountain. Here, you'll find some small shops and great spots to take in the views of the city. At Jiang Jieshi, you'll find the old military headquarters from when the city was the capital of China in WWII. Due to it being all the way up in the Nanshan Mountains above the city, the headquarters were left untouched by enemy forces and are very well preserved. Further, there’s Ciqikou, meaning porcelain port, on the Jialing River where porcelain has been made and transported around the world for centuries, followed by a number of shops, well preserved buildings, a boat restaurant, and an original temple at the top of the hill.
With the enthusiastic scenarios and views Chongqing offers, it only makes sense studying Chinese language would be similar, and that is what’s exactly served on a plate. Studying Chinese in Chongqing is only achieved by:
