Study in china admission system
Before you can apply to study in China the applicant would first need to choose what he or she would like to study and at which universities they will study at. It is advised to submit a few applications because there is no guarentee of addmition at any particular university.
After the decisions of what and where are answered, prospective students can begin completing online applications to the respective universities of choice. Basic information such as:
Personal information about the applicant (must be filled in truly and correctly). Please note that the university will require your current mailing address to deliver your acceptance letter and JW202 form if you are accepted.
Education - Applicants have to provide the information for all completed secondary, vocational, technical, undergraduate or postgraduate training and qualifications. Any incomplete programs should also be listed.
Employment - Please clarify your work experiences and your current post (if any).
Language Proficiency - Please state your language proficiency, especially Chinese and English. If you have passed a language test, please include a copy of the results in your application materials. Please note that some programs require a certain level of language proficiency. E.g. Most Chinese-taught degree programs require a Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 3-6.
In order to apply to universities, there are certain documents that are required such as:
Application Form (DOC, PDF)
Declaration form
Photocopies of the diploma and transcript of the highest degree obtained. Applicant must photocopy the diploma and transcript of the highest degree obtained. (A Chinese or English translation which is notarized by local authority is required if the documents are not in either of the languages aforementioned. The diploma and transcript shall be authenticated by Taiwan Embassy or Taiwan representative office in/near the country before enrollment if the applicants are admitted.
Official bank statements.
They must be submitted to prove the applicants’ ability to provide the needed funds for enrollment with the balance on it. The minimum balance should be equivalent to U.S. Dollar 20,000 or above.
The bank statement shall be issued by the bank officially with the information of current balance and currency, and be authenticated by Taiwan Embassy or Taiwan representative office in/near your country, or sealed and mailed to CMU by your bank directly.
Financial statements from a Taiwanese bank or a branch of a foreign bank located in Taiwan do not need to be authenticated Or a copy of Taiwan Scholarship Certificate if you are a Taiwan Scholarship recipient.
5. A study plan written in Chinese or in English
6. Two letters of recommendation with contact information: one from an academic instructor
in the related field of study and the other by a Chinese instructor.
7. Verification of Nationality
A photocopy of the applicant′s birth certificate
A photocopy of the applicant′s passport
Photocopies of the applicant′s parents′ passports
(or any document that shows parental relationship to the applicant and his/her
nationality.)

9. Applicants who hold a foreign nationality as well as an ROC nationality should submit
documents showing residence abroad for at least 6 consecutive years (Applicants for the
bachelor programs in the School of Medicine, School of Dentistry and School of Chinese
Medicine should submit documents showing residence abroad for at least 8 consecutive
years).
10. Applicants who once had ROC nationality and have household registration in Taiwan and
now hold foreign nationality should submit documents issued by the Ministry of Interior
indicating that the person in concern has given up ROC nationality for at least 8 years.
11. An applicant of foreign nationality, concurrently holding a permanent residence status in
Hong Kong or Macao, having no history of a household registration record in Taiwan
should submit documents showing residence abroad for at least 6 years (Applicants for the
bachelor programs in the School of Medicine, School of Dentistry and School of Chinese
Medicine should submit documents showing residence abroad for at least 8 years).
12. An applicant being a former citizen of Mainland China and holds a foreign nationality,
having no history of household registration record in Taiwan should submit proof of foreign
nationality and documents showing residence abroad for at least 6 years (Applicants for the
bachelor programs in the School of Medicine, School of Dentistry and School of Chinese
Medicine should submit documents showing residence abroad for at least 8 years).
13. According to the VISA regulation for students with the nationality of Republic of The Union
of Myanmar, Burmese applicants should submit the following documents in photocopies:
Overseas Chinese Students: Applicants can only apply for graduate programs. A TOEFL score of at least 500 on PBT test (or 173 on CBT test) is required.
Non-Overseas Chinese student: Applicants can apply for either undergraduate or graduate programs. An authenticated financial statement and a TOEFL score of at least 500 on PBT test (or 173 on CBT test) are required.
Passport validity: at least 3 years
After applications have been sent and respective application and admission fees have been paid, all thats left to do is wait for the application to be processed and the verdict on acceptance to be passed.
