Location
Huaihua lies is in the mountainous west of Hunan province, southeast of world famous Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, neighboring Hubei, Guizhou, Guangxi and Chongqing. Known as the birth place of the Hybrid Rice. Huaihua is also as a key transit hub that connects western and eastern China with railway links and highways. There is also the regional Zhijiang Airports (HJJ) with flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Kunming and Changsha, making Huaihua more accessable than most cities in midwest China.
Culture
Known to Chinese people as one of the most recommended destinations for historical and cultural heritages, a total of over 30 ancient towns and villages can be found in Huaihua region, including the ancient trading hub of Hongjiang, ancient town of Qianyang, ancient residential complex of Gaoyi village, etc.

The weather in Huaihua is variable. The region has distinctive 4 different seasons with rainy spring, hot summer, comfortable fall and cold winter. Average daytime temperatures range from 2-6°C in winter, to 26-30°C in summer.
