1. Entry Requirements
Type of Students | Application Requirements |
Chinese Language Students | Graduated from junior middle school, 18 to 65 years old with a good health condition. |
Undergraduates | Equal to high school qualification in China. Applicants must be below the age of 55. A good health condition. 4-year study |
Graduates | Equal to Undergraduate qualification in China. Applicants must be below the age of 55. A good health condition. 2-3 years’ study. |
Doctoral Degree Students | Equal to Master graduate in China. Applicants must be below the age of 55,study for 3 years. A good health condition.3 years’ study. |
Note: Application to the Chinese Major at College of International Cultures is exempt from HSK requirement. For other degree program, applicants should achieve New HSK Level 5 or above. |
2. Application Procedures
Fill in personal information and upload required materials.(See Notice 1)

The applicants will receive a digital admission notice if the materials is verified.
↓
SCNU will apply for Visa Application Form for Foreign Students and will send this form with the admission notice. About 45 days.
↓(Delivery time is about 7 days)
Applicants go to the local Chinese embassy with the Form and the admission notice to apply for visa.
↓
Enroll in SCNU in the specific time mentioned in the admission notice.

Notice 2:
All kinds of certificate and transcripts needed to be verified and issued by certain organizations.
Original copies are required during enrollment. Enrollment will be refused without complete documents or forgery.
All documents needed to be translated into Chinese or English.
Undergraduate program of Chinese Language and Literature accept transfer students. Students with HSK Level 4 certificate or have one year’s study in China can apply for sophomore year study. Students with HSK Level 5 certificate or have two years’ study in China can apply for junior year study.
