What is MBA?
The Master of Business Administration (MBA or M.B.A.) is a master's degree in business administration (management). The core courses in an MBA program cover various areas of business such as accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, and operations in a manner most relevant to management analysis and strategy.

MBA in China has a very short history in China although it could be traced back to the late nineteenth century. After the restructure of higher education in 1979, modern management education has resumed. Bachelor programs in management started to appear, followed by Master and PhD programs. As the major part of management education, Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs were first launched in 1991. At that time, there were only 9 MBA programs in China. In 2016, there are 236 MBA programs in China.

Fudan University

After the establishment of the People's Republic of China in 1949, Tongji University became an engineering university following a nationwide restructuring of institutions of higher learning in 1952.
