Experts on Juvenile Football Training from Germany Visits BSU
On April 12th, the party secretary, Cao Weidong, and the deputy party secretary and president, Chi Jian, met with Mr. Frank Engel, who is the director of German Juvenile Football Training and Reserve Personnel Training Program. Invited by BSU, Mr. Engel came to our school to guide the training of the under-17 men football team of Xin Jiang and carry out some academic lectures in our school. During the meeting, two sides discussed the establish of juvenile football training system, training of football coaches, selection and cultivation of football players and infrastructure construction. Mr. Cao pointed that we should learn the advanced experience of German football and explore the development path which was suitble for our own at the same time. He hoped that Mr. Engel could gave some support to our university in that field. The office director of party committee of school, Xu Xianghong, the deputy director of Foreign Affairs Office, Hua Yongmin and the staff from German-China Juvenile Football Exchange and Promote Association also attended the meeting.
Delegation from French Ministry of City, Youths and Sports Visits BSU
On February 15th, 2017, the minister of French Ministry of City, Youths and Sports, Mr. Patrick Kanner, head a delegation of 15 came to Beijing Sport University. The delegation included the French ambassador Maurice Gourdault- Montagne, the chairman of French National Institute of Sport(INSEP) and president of the Olympic Bid Committee for Paris in 2024, Mr. Jean-Philippe Gatien, and the president of French National Skiing and Mountaineering School, Hervé Josseron. The president of BSU, Chi Jian, warmly welcomed the delegation and had a meeting with them. During the meeting, two sides exchanged ideas on sports, culture and education between France and China and disscussed how to expand and deepen the cooperation on education, scientific research, training and other aspects between INSEP, French National Skiing and Mountaineering School and BSU, expecially on communication of high level experts.
After the meeting, President Chi Jian signed the MOUs with INSEP and French National Skiing and Mountaineering School respectively on behalf of BSU, which mean that BSU formally established the inter-school relations with the two schools. Minister Patrick Kanner also signed at the MOUs and witnessed the begaining of cooperation between two schools. After the signing ceremony, the delegation visited the Tennis Complex, Sport Science Research Center and National Training Base in the campus.
Delegation of Zimbabwe’s Department of Sports and Leisure from Visits BSU
On November 3rd, 2016, Minister Makhosini Hlongwane and Mr. Regis Chabata from Department of Sports and Leisure of Zimbabwe came to Beijing Sport University for a visit. The president of BSU, Chi Jian, met with the delegation and introduced the basic situation of our school to the delegation. Zimbabwe’s side said they were planning to build their own national sports college and were seeking the assistance of BSU. During the meeting, both sides also discussed about the sports education, athletes’ exchange and oversea students’ exchange between two sides. Afterwards, the delegation visited the Aquatics Hall, Tennis Complex, Sport Science Research Center and National Training Base in the campus. In the meanwhile, they also watched the sports dance training in our school.
