Seven Key Laboratories of Shandong Provincial Universities and Colleges Were Approved to Establish

Recently, Shandong Provincial Department of Education announced the list of provincial universitiesinnovation platform projects in 13th Five-Year plan. 167 key laboratories of Shandong provincial universities and colleges were approved to set up in total. Seven projects recommended by Qingdao University were approved, including the Lab of Optoelectronic Materials Physics and Devices, the Lab of New Power Integration and Environmental Protection and Energy Saving Technology, Big Data Technology Lab, the Lab of Statistical Analysis of Medical Data, the Lab of Cardiovascular Nucleic Acid Biology, the Lab of Clinical Ophthalmology and the Lab of Drug Targets Discovery and Identification.

The inaugural ceremony of Qingdao University Outlook Fatty Acids and Health Research Center, jointly founded by Qingdao University, China More Love Foundation and Shanghai Outlook Group was held in the reception room 320 of office building on March 17th. Hu Jinxing, China More Love Foundation Chairman, Luo Zhengnian, Shanghai Outlook Group Chairman，Fan Yuejin, the Party secretary and president of Qingdao University and Li duo, chief professor of Nutrition and Health Research college of Qingdao University as well as the director of the center attended the ceremony and unveiled the nameplate for the research center.
It is the first Fatty Acids and Health Research Center among colleges, which is committed to attracting more researchers to carry out research on fatty acid metabolism and related diseases, so as to obtain high-level research results and serve the public to promote national health.
Delegation of Qingdao University Visited Numbers of Universities in Taiwan

From March 13th to 17th, a four-person delegation of Qingdao University paid a visit to a number ofuniversities in Taiwan for exchanges. During the visit, the delegation called at eight colleges in Taiwan includingTatung University, National Normal University, Shih Chien University, Chinese Culture University, Ming Chuan University, National Taiwan Ocean University, Hsiuping University of Science and Technology and Da-Yeh University, and respectively reached a consensus and cooperation intention to promote exchanges in visits ofteachers and students, advantage disciplines, academics, scientific research as well as substantialcooperation of teaching and research. The delegation was warmly welcomed by leaders of visiting universities. In the meeting, the two sides fully expressed strong desire to deepen exchanges and cooperation between colleges.
Accompanied by the relevant leaders of Taiwan friendship colleges, the delegation also visited the characteristic teaching and research base.
