1. Program Introduction
Editor Notes: The Center for Economic Research was as an extension of the Property Rights Research Center founded in 1996.
It is an economic research and talent development institution working under the auspices of Shandong University.
The program is designed for students who have knowledge of Economics or are interested in Economics.
Through theories and practical applications, the program explores various courses.
Students acquire knowledge and skills through a combination of lectures, seminars and thesis.
The four-year PhD program is fully taught in English.
Graduates will earn a PhD’s Degree in Economics, recognized by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.

Credit Requirements |
The program requires a minimum of 19 credits, in which, Advanced Macroeconomics, Advanced Microeconomics, Econometrics, Professional English, Frontier Lecture and Institutional Economics are compulsory courses. |

Students can defend their dissertation in the third year, and students have to past their dissertation to graduate. |
