About the Program

The Computer Software Engineering (International) program offered by the College of Physics and Electronic information engineering (PEIE) of WZU is dedicated to cultivating international frontier researchers and skilled technicians, who are keen on international scientific and technological communication and cooperation.

Research

The students will be guided by world class leading professors in computer science technology in PEIE in the fields of Embedded systems, Internet of things and mobile computing, computer graphics image processing, Web and service computing, Pattern recognition and data mining, Big Data Analysis, etc.

Courses

All courses are delivered in English using original English textbooks, lecture notes, and/or lab manuals. The core courses include Applied Mathematics in Computer Science, Frontiers of Computer Science and Technology, Computer System Architecture, Advanced Operating Systems, Advanced Computer Networks, Pattern Recognition Theory and Application, Computer Graphics, Intelligent Control Theory and Technology, High Performance Parallel Computing, Introduction to Internet of things technology, Web Application Technology, Data Mining, Machine Learning, etc.

Financial Support

Our program welcomes international students who have acquired scholarships of exchange programs between the governments, or from the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC), or from Zhejiang Province. For students having not acquired the above-mentioned scholarships, they will be offered full scholarship by WZU in their 1st year of graduate studies. From the second year on, the students will be offered full or partial scholarship depending on their research performance. In the meantime, advisors will also provide research assistants allowance after students start their graduate researches. CCME will also give the Dean's Honors Award to students who have done excellent research works during their graduate studies. In all, every international graduate student will be offered scholarship that is sufficient to cover his/her tuition fee.

Job opportunity

Graduates from this program can continue their education toward Ph.D. degree or find jobs in their home country as well as in China, especially in Zhejiang Province, in which Internet and Big Data industries account for a very important branch of economy.

Chinese graduate students will act as mentors to help international students get settled down in Wenzhou.

About College of Physics and Electronic information engineering

College of Physics and Electronic information engineering (PEIE) at Wenzhou University (WZU) was established in 1958. PEIE now has 150 full-time members, including 26 professors and 40 associate professors. Most of our faculty members have overseas study and research experiences. The College offers 6 undergraduate programs (Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science and Technology, Electronic Science and Technology, Information and Communication Engineering, Computer Network Engineering) and two master program (Physics and Computer Science and Technology).

The College has achieved significant progress in both teaching and research. In the last 5 years, the College has acquired more than 50 national-level projects such as National Outstanding Youth Funds project, National Science and Technology Support project, “863” Project, and NSFC projects. Our faculty members have published a large number of high quality scientific publications, PEIE has received 50 state-authorized patents, and numerous provincial and national awards in science and technology.

Question: What is the cost of applying through ACASC?

Answer: ACASC charges a service fee of 50$ for using its online application portal. Applying through ACASC into Chinese universities attracts a service fee of $50.

Question: Can I apply to the university directly?

Answer: Yes. ACASC gives the applicants, the chance to directly apply to their desired universities through our online application portal. We have synchronized our system to create a simple platform that connects universities and colleges in China to international students all around the world.

Question: How can I track my application status?

Answer: To track the application status, please log in your ACASC personal account. Whenever there’s an update, you will be informed on your application status through ACASC system within a day as soon as we receive university’s notification. You will simultaneously receive ACASC auto-email about the application status. To directly inquire about your application status, feel free to send us an email to admission@acasc.cn and our team will keep you updated.

Question: How to deal with a pending application?

Answer: When an application is pending a decision it means that your school has received it and no admissions decision has been made yet. The admissions office may have reviewed your application package or may not have.

The main cause of a pending application is usually incomplete application documents. As a result you will be requested by the school’s admission office to re-check and modify all submitted application documents or perhaps even add extra documents and then re-submit them.

To avoid further delays, carefully read the university’s comments, modify your application form on ACASC, and re-upload the required application documents. You can contact ACASC on admission@acasc.cnfor any help with regards to your pending application

How long does it take to process my application?

Processing time varies for different applications. For example to process a degree program application requires more time than a Chinese language application. Confirmation for Chinese language application by the admission office usually takes 2 to 4 weeks. However, time for degree programs application differs. For example fall semester application processing is after March, and it takes a period of 1 to 2 months. This also depends on your qualification and the number of applicants.
