1. Training Goal
To collect medical history accurately;
To examine the body and mind in a systematic and standardized manner and be able to write standard records;
To make and express correct clinical judgments;
To diagnose common and frequently-occurring diseases;
Be able to diagnose and treat general emergency cases;
To select suitable clinical diagnosis and treatment for patients;
Be able to communicate with patients and their families and encourage patient cooperation;
Be able to share their experience with other doctors and medical personnel.
2. Program Introduction
This program is in the global medical field.
This program meets the requirements of medical education of WHO standard.
To cultivate students equipped with efficient basic medical knowledge and clinical techniques, with occupational value and ethics, and competent in communication and innovation.
3. Program Structure
3.1 Chinese culture and natural science courses
To facilitate their learning and life in China and contact with patients in their medical practice.
The Chinese language shall be a compulsory course during the whole undergraduate medical program in English for international students in China.

4. Degree Awarded
MBBS Degree:
Upon graduation, students need to pass the HSK 3 (New HSK 4) to get the diploma.
Completing the requirements of the teaching program and passing the graduation examinations.
The English copy of the degree will state MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery).
After obtaining MBBS Degree, the graduates can apply to take the medical licensing examination in the medical council in order to get registered and practice medicine.
According to the regulations in different countries, the students may need to do the degree accreditation first.
A MBBS degree holder can find jobs in government as well as private hospitals, nursing homes and other health facilities.
One can also start his own clinic or pursue study for master’s degree.
5. Internships
For students who would like to do the internship in China, they should pass the new HSK 4 to contact with the patients.
The hospitals have 2800 beds, 15 million out-patients per year, 50,000 in-patients per year, 25,000 major operations and a full list of disciplines covering 100 clinical and auxiliary departments and 30 laboratories.
For those who do their internships in other countries, WHU need to do a qualification evaluation on the chosen hospital.
After the internship, if they have finished the graduation thesis and thesis defense in the first five years, they can get their diploma.
If they can’t return to China, the school can provide mail service.
Students have to take the final examination on Theory Test and Clinical Evaluation in WHU before graduation.
6. School Introduction
Wuhan University is a key university directly under the administration of the Education Ministry of the People's Republic of China. It is located in Hubei Province's capital Wuhan known as "The thoroughfare leading to nine provinces". The university has rolling physical features with the scenic Luojia Hill in it and the beautiful East Lake by its side, seeming in picturesque disorder.
7. School of Medicine
The school has two Provincial Demonstration Centers of Experimental Teaching.
There are 11 indirect affiliated teaching hospitals, which are all first class hospitals.
It keeps good relationships and collaborates with hospitals and institutes.
There are 5 schools, 6 research centers and 3 A-Level Grade Ⅲ affiliated hospitals.
There are 5080 beds, 15 million out-patients per year, 50,000 in-patients per year, 25,000 major operations and a full list of disciplines covering 100 clinical and auxiliary departments and 30 laboratories in these hospitals.
1125 of faculty are professors, chief physicians, associate professors and deputy chief physicians with an impressive figure of 2500.
The school involves more than 5,100 students, including 3,000 undergraduates, 1,500 graduates and 600 foreign students.
