Foreign linguistics and applied linguistics, existing applied linguistics, translation theory and practice two research directions. This subject trains senior professionals who are engaged in English, English translation and English teaching and research.
Foreign linguistics and applied linguistics are a secondary discipline under the first-level discipline of foreign language and literature. This subject takes the basic hypothesis of formal linguistics as the theoretical guidance, and uses phonology, syntax, formal semantics, and language acquisition as the main teaching and research content.
