1. Program Introduction
Editor Notes: The program provides the sound and serious mathematical training needed for financial mathematics, along with economics and other related fields.
Students will take a variety of courses, covering mathematical training, elementary finance, empirical, theoretical and computational tools, quantitative analysis techniques in data analysis, signal processing and statistical decisions, etc.
The graduates will achieve excellent research ability so that they can make some creative results in this field.
The 4 year Ph.D. program will be fully taught in English.
If a Ph.D. student achieves the graduation requirements and publishes one more SCI/CSSCI paper, he/she can graduate a year early.
Graduates will earn a Ph.D. Degree of Financial Mathematics, recognized by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.

Credit Requirements | The total credits for the program are no less than 13, in which no less than 12 credits are for compulsory (core) courses. | |
Ph.D. Thesis | In the last year, students must finish their Ph.D. thesis, and defend it in the last term . They must work closely with their advisor to define a focused topic and conduct the research. | |
Graduation Requirements | Firstly, graduates should achieve the credit requirements. Secondly, graduates should achieve the Ph.D. thesis requirements. Thirdly, as first author, a Ph.D. Student should publish two papers in SCI/CSSCI journals,or one paper in SCI/CSSCI II journals,or two papers in EI top journals for special majors during the study period. |
