Program Description
Arts, design and architecture include disciplines that deal with imagining, designing and creating objects that add to the cultural value of society. Art studies focus on developing creativity or technical skill that result in works of art that can be categorised into visual arts, performing arts, decorative arts, interactive media, and others. Activities such as art criticism, art history, or aesthetics are also included in the broad area of art. Activities such as painting, sculpting, photography, music, theatre, film are just a few examples of forms of art that can be studies in academic contexts.
Design studies ways of creating and developing concepts and specifications that optimise the function, value and appearance of products and systems for the benefit of users. Architecture is concerned with the design and building of various constructions. Architecture is often considered one of the visual arts but, in addition to aesthetic elements, it also includes practical aspects related to the use of the designed objects.
Topics covered by arts, design and architecture degrees include: art history, visual arts, user experience design, interior design and landscape architecture.
Program Highlights
Bachelors and Masters in Arts, Design and Architecture will equip students with visual creativity, drawing, painting, sculpting skills and the ability to integrate artistic theory in design processes. Students will also learn to express and communicate messages by using colours, artistic skill and technical knowledge.
Entry Requirements
1. Non-Chinese citizens in good health, with valid passport;
2.Above the age of 18 and below 40, and should abide by Chinese law and the regulations of Sichuan University. They should also respect Chinese social customs and codes of conduct;
3.With degree equivalent to a bachelor in China or just finished a bachelor from a Chinese university, good grades.

Answer: To track the application status, please log in your ACASC personal account. Whenever there’s an update, you will be informed on your application status through ACASC system within a day as soon as we receive university’s notification. You will simultaneously receive ACASC auto-email about the application status. Answer: When an application is pending a decision it means that your school has received it and no admissions decision has been made yet. The admissions office may have reviewed your application package or may not have.
The main cause of a pending application is usually incomplete application documents. As a result you will be requested by the school’s admission office to re-check and modify all submitted application documents or perhaps even add extra documents and then re-submit them.
To avoid further delays, carefully read the university’s comments, modify your application form on ACASC, and re-upload the required application documents. You can contact ACASC on admission@acasc.cn for any help with regards to your pending application
Processing time varies for different applications. For example to process a degree program application requires more time than a Chinese language application. Confirmation for Chinese language application by the admission office usually takes 2 to 4 weeks. However, time for degree programs application differs. For example fall semester application processing is after March, and it takes a period of 1 to 2 months. This also depends on your qualification and the number of applicants.
