Vocabulary details and hsk levels:
There are about 6 levels of hsk starting from 1 to onwards that helps you to master the Chinese language.

The proficiency of these tests depends as the applicants with hsk level 1 passed can appreciate and use very simple Chinese words and phrases. The ones with hsk level 2 passed can have an excellent grasp of basic Chinese and can communicate in simple and routine tasks.

Hsk- university requirements:
Some of the universities in china require hsk levels which are different for each major and are set by the administration of the universities themselves. Here are some COMMON list that the universities require from the overseas students:

Architecture, Business, Economics, Medicine – HSK Level 4
Liberal Arts – HSK 5
